Bath Time

I feel like I am jinxing myself by saying this, but we have had two nights free of "fussy time." Currently we are attributing it to a walk and a nightly bath, but as I have learned in the job so far - there is no predictability. Just when you think you have something figured out, it turns out you don't. However, we'll keep at our routine until it fails us. (As I write that, I am envisioning the howling that I know I am condemning us to tonight.)
Lucy hated baths at first, but I've learned that I need to warm up the seat beforehand and then she just settles right in. Daddy and I sing to her - it's great! Sometimes she likes the shampoo at the end, sometimes she doesn't. It just depends. We had been giving her a bath every few days, but the other night when she settled right down after her bath and forgot to cry for two hours, we decided to make it a nightly thing. We'll put lotion on her skin so she doesn't turn into a prune - dry skin is better than crying in my book!

As you can see, she also doesn't like the towel part at the end.
Tomorrow I'm planning on testing out the stroller and walking into town, instead of taking a taxi like I usually do. It's not six weeks yet, but it's pretty flat on the way there, so I think I can handle the exercise.

so sweet...I love her sooooo much! Have you guys thought about warming the towel up at the end? That might calm her down. I don't know, I am not a mommy yet, but I know that always calms my patients down at work :) I love you guys! Counting the days until I can meet my new niece!!!!!!!!!! Love, Syd
