Pete and I celebrated our first anniversary this weekend. We had planned to go to Plovdiv to celebrate, but as it got closer, the more we just wanted to stay in town and relax. So, we decided to rent a really nice hotel room in downtown Sofia. It was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is called the Hotel Grand Sofia, and it was so nice we didn't even feel like we were in Bulgaria anymore. We ordered room services, surfed the satellite channels, and ate at the nice restaurant for dinner. It was relaxing and just what we wanted. What a first year we've had! I don't think we can top this one ... but, who knows, we might try!
