Lucy may have smiled yesterday - I don't know if it was real or not, but it sure looked real to me. I was singing "Old MacDonald" to her with the finger puppets and on "an oink oink here and an oink oink there" she smiled this big toothless grin right at me. It only lasted a second, but it melted my heart! Here are some pictures of Pete trying to get the same reaction, to no avail.

So, I've heard that all babies have fussy times and our baby has officially started to have one. It lasts for a couple hours. She cries and cries and cries. I offer her the typical calming mechanism, but she keeps refusing it. Then, all of a sudden, she takes it, acts like she hasn't eaten for a century, and the completely passes out for the night. It's very strange. This is Pete last night trying to calm her with the football hold. It worked for a while, then it didn't work :( Oh well.

Oh a happier note, I wore pre-pregnancy jeans yesterday! They were tight, but they buttoned and zipped and I was able to wear them the whole day without passing out. Yes!

Yay for the pre-pregnancy jeans!
Jamie
All three of my children had fussy times during the "witching" hour. around 6-8 pm every night, like clockwork! I feel for you...it can be so frusterating.
And of course it was a real smile!!! Love it.
Pre-pregnancy jeans already? Then there IS hope!
