July

July was a great month.  Pete was off for some of it and we continued our vacation extravaganza.  It was glorious!
We celebrated Canada Day with our good friends from Vancouver Island who we taught with in Hong Kong.

Beautiful property - so good to see them after all these years!

Since we're all about freedom - we came home to celebrate the 4th of July. :)

Then we were on to Black Butte.  So much fun to be with Andy, Ali, Brady, Drew, and Marge for a week.  The kids just love it.  We called Emma the sloth here because she reminded us of this video: https://youtu.be/xiE5AQHKj_Y

We tried to do a little rock climbing, but due to an incoming thunderstorm, we didn't make it too far.

Lucy and Sofie got to do another horse back ride - this time a longer route.
Emma was still doing the kiddie ride, but loved it.

We visited the pond and found lots of frogs.

The summer is not complete without a trip to the Enchanted Forest!

Movie night after zoo camp!!!

Pete and I always try to fit in a trip to the Oregon Brew Fest.

We did a quick berry picking trip.  We didn't pick berries as often this year, but it's always fun.

Silly girls playing winter in summer.
On our way to the beach as the end of July we visited the Tillamook Forestry Center and learned about butterflies.

We went up into a fire lookout tower.

I took each of the girls on a date - Lucy got a mood ring.

I can't remember what Sof purchased, but she tried on this cute mask.

Emma got a frog hat that she loves.

Love this view.
