The craziness continues ...

I'm going to quit apologizing for how long it takes for me to post new blogs ... it is always on my mind, but the time just isn't there and probably won't be there for at least a few years to come. :)  The blogs will continue, however - this has become my diary and my scrapbook over the past six (almost seven) years.

To get everyone up-to-date ... we are all moved into our new house and are completely loving it.  I finally felt like all the boxes were unpacked and the house felt like home this weekend.  It was definitely a crazy, crazy summer, but both Pete and I keep saying how good it feels to be in Portland.  It truly does.  There is nothing better than being close to family and friends.  Speaking of family - thank GOD for them!  We could not have survived in any way, shape, or form without the love and support of our family this summer.  We are truly blessed by them.

Now on to the pics! (They are of course out of order, but at least they are there.)  Toward the end of the summer we had a fun trip to the zoo and took the train to the Rose Gardens.  Auntie Katy joined us and it was a great day.  Here are the cute tiger girls.

Eating lunch in the gardens.
Pete had a camp out with the girls during the last week of summer.  All three of them made it all night in our tiny little tent.  The girls can't wait to do it again.
Sofie got her first haircut this summer ... even though you can't tell.  I only had Jackie take off the ends and I probably should have had her take off more.  I love Sofie's beautiful hair and it is so fun when she lets me put it in pig tails.

Sweet Emma is truly a joy and a blessing.  What a gift she is in our life.  She is so happy and smiley.  We just love her.
Sweet Lucy started preschool this year and is absolutely loving it.  I don't get to take her most days, but I dropped her off on her first day of school.  Not seeing her go to school has been one of the hardest parts of going back to work full time.  I feel so disconnected with this very big milestone.  But, in the end, what I do know is that she LOVES school and can't wait to go each day.  We are entering a new phase of life and couldn't be more proud of our oldest monkey.

Look at this big girl!
Of course she had to make a funny face right after.
When I dropped her off, she just jumped right in and started to play with the other kids.

Pete turned 36 this year! Closer to 40 than 30 :)  What a sweet love.  We went to the Rogue Brewery to celebrate his big day.  His major present was moving into our new house three days later!
A couple more zoo pics ... sorry they are out of order.

We went to a fun birthday party at Gymboree.  The girls loved it and my friend Jessica is an awesome photographer and took these pics.

Jessica also took these pics at her daughter's birthday party ... so cute!

I have no idea what is going on in the world or in anyone else's life right now, so I apologize for being out of the loop.  Now that we are settled maybe I can get back in the swing of things - maybe not, but I'm going to try.  Hopefully I can get some pictures of up of our new house soon.

Wonderful pictures of the girls. Infrequent blogs are better than no blogs. Happy Birthday Pete!
