We're Back

We're back from our excellent, excellent vacation! What a fantastic vacation it was! I took about 400 pictures, however, so it has taken me some time to sort through all of them and choose the best ones for the blog. Over the next few days I will try to give you the highlights, including Lucy's first birthday!

I'll start with our trip to Taiwan. I actually don't have too many pictures from Taiwan, but here is what I have. It was so good to see Kris and meet her husband, Zden. They are a wonderful couple and excellent hosts.

Our first day there, we just explored their neighborhood. Taiwan seems a bit more livable than Hong Kong, in that their apartment had MUCH more space, the buildings aren't as ginormous, and there seems to be a bit more breathing room in general. After our neighborhood tour, Kris made us a tasty dinner of veggie lasagna - yum!

The next day we went downtown to see the World's Tallest Building (at least until another one is Dubai is finished). It's called "Taipei 101".

Lucy had so much fun running around. She was making friends everywhere and many people wanted to take their picture with her. She was a little star.

As I uploaded these pictures I realized that I don't have any of Kris and Zden. :( I think Kris has some on her camera, however, so hopefully we'll get those soon.
