O.K. - enough of the pep-talk! Onto the vacation recap!
Here is a picture of Lucy before her first plane ride (not counting her worldwide in-utero trips).
Lucy did great on the plane - both ways. She pretty much slept the whole time and hardly made a peep. The trip home this summer may be more eventful, but we are grateful for the ease of our initial flights as parents.
Here are some pics of Christmas day:
This is Pete and Lucy outside of Christmas Eve Mass. We attend the Children's Mass and at one point the priest asked the kids what they thought God looked like. One immediately shouted out that "God looks like a rectangle." Interesting. That kid is definitely destined to become a philosophy major.
A picture of our family ... awe!
Lucy got to meet her Aunt Ali, Uncle Andy, and cousin Brady. Yeah!
Aunt Ali brought Lucy Brady's Bumbo seat. I guess Lucy needs a few more weeks to build some "core strength." :)
Christmas morning - all the presents were for Lucy. I'm telling you - the girl made out like a bandit this year! Too bad her favorite present is staring at the wrapping paper. Oh well.
I look pretty hot in this picture. I was the designated Lucy present opener.
What a lucky girl - Lucy got a white Christmas on her very first one!
Uncle Andy and Cousin Brady. Brady is so cute! He is crawling around, smiles, and laughs. He is quite the ham. It will be fun when Lucy is able to interact with him a bit more.
After Christmas we drove down to Coos Bay to see Grandma Gladys and Grandpa George. Lucy loved meeting her namesake!
Four generations together!
Lucy meets her Auntie Lisa.
On New Year's Eve, Becky, Em, Reese, and Elle came over. It was so good to see them!
Just a cute Lucy pic - I think Grandma J is holding her.
Now we are back in our tiny HK apartment. I think Lucy is having a hard time adjusting to the time, as well as having only boring Mom and Dad around. She loved interacting with all her family - there was always someone to play with, read to her, or just give her loves. Now, her entertainment is Daddy reading a Newsweek article to her. (Mom - Pete said to tell you he is reading her facts.) :)
Finally, I'll leave you with a video I took on New Year's Eve. Not high quality, but what can you do?
Happy New Year, everyone! May 2008 bring you much happiness, many blessings, and dreams come true.
