Welcome to the world Lucy!

Jinxy and I are so excited to welcome Lucy Gladys Muilenburg into the world! She arrived yesterday, October 8, at 2:44 pm (China Standard Time), and weighs 3.9 kilos or just over 8 ½ pounds. Still working on the height info, but she looks like she’s going to be one long lady. The whole experience wasn’t at all what we expected. Lucy’s heart rate was high and they had to do an emergency section. I wasn’t allowed in the operating room, which was probably good, as they had to give Jinxy blood because she lost a decent amount during the operation. I paced outside until about an hour later when they wheeled our little girl on past to an observation room. She is beautiful, and we’re pretty sure she’s a redhead like her mom. Mom and baby both doing fine and are together at Queen Mary Hospital and should be home by the weekend (the Chinese like to keep close watch on things). Pictures are forthcoming, but you know how I am with technology.
