The Sling

A couple new pics ...
I put Lucy in my Kangaroo Sling today and she fell right to sleep. I have a feeling I am going to love this thing - I just wish I would have gotten one size smaller, grrr.

We gave Lucy a little bath last night. I know it's supposed to be sponge bath only right now, but we had to get her in the water a bit - the girl poops so much that it made it very necessary to get some soap on her! She did NOT like the bath - hopefully she learn to love them eventually. She looked so cute in her little towel afterwards, though, and she even calmed down a bit. :)


Today Pete watched the baby for a couple of hours while I took Marge and Norm to Victoria Peak. It was very weird to be out of the house without Lucy even for such a short time. I did treasure my stop at Starbucks before I got in the taxi to go home, but I was excited to see her when I got here. It will be so weird to leave her everyday when I go back to work in a couple of weeks.

Hands down this is the hardest job I have ever loved. I am exhausted, teary at times, and I am already counting the days until I can be done with breastfeeding - it is so draining (no pun intended). With all of that said, I feel so blessed, I am so in love with my little girl, and I have a whole new love for Pete that I didn't even know was possible. I have a new respect for my parents - how did you guys do this three times???? And my lastest thing is looking at everyone I see and thinking "you were just like my little baby at one time; someday she'll be as big as you." The world looks a little different to me these days.
