Today's pics:
No flash on this pic - I didn't want to wake her up, but this is an example of the chest position.

Pete tried out the sling this morning ... Lucy didn't take to it as well this time. I love her little feet sticking out.

This picture is meant to show off Lucy's gigantic hands, although I'm not sure if you can see how big they are. This girl has Muilenburg style hands and feet and is destine for basketball, volleyball, or piano - we'll see.

This is how Lucy took her morning nap this morning - half of the time on me, half of the time on Pete. I cut up a bunch of fruit and we munched on that as she slept - oh how our lives have changed.

Here are some swing pics. She likes her swing for somewhere between five and twenty minutes, then she's done. I wish I could start crying everytime I wanted something and someone would meet my every need. :)

O.K. I really need to take a nap. I'm having a hard time adjusting to taking daytime naps myself - they don't come too easily for me, as it takes me a long time to wind down and once I'm asleep, it takes me a while to wind back up when the time comes. The apartment needs to be cleaned so badly - the bathroom is disgusting, but I guess that stuff will have to wait for at least a few more hours, if not days. It will be nice to have a helper here in a couple of weeks, although that also means that work is right around the corner. Oh well, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I cant get over her cuteness!!
And yes...the whole human paci thing...Someday you will learn to let her cry a bit to give your nips a break ;). Okay, well maybe that will come with the third child. :)
Hi there,
You are all looking fantastic and adorable!
I love the photos and your commentary on new parenthood. It takes me right back to almost twenty years ago when my kiddo was a newborn. I remember that initial feeling of how completely my life had changed; eventually, it's hard to remember life before having a child.
Daniel also preferred the 'on the chest' naps. I hardly ever put him down when he was an infant! He actually flew home this weekend, and it's so wonderful to be able to give him a hug. :)
Cherish all of these moments when you can still hold your child...they grow up way too fast!
Love,
Carolyn
