Baby's First Halloween

It's 2:00pm on Halloween day and what a day it has been! We woke up, ate, took a quick nap, and then headed to school to show off for the first time. I made the mistake of giving Lucy a bottle before we headed out. She ate an ounce, but once we were out the door she was howling. Usually once she's in the Bjorn she calms down and eventually falls asleep, but this was not the case today. She cried the whole way to school and was having a full-on tantrum by the time we got there. I ended up having to use a back room to feed her again about 10 minutes into our visit. After that, however, she calmed down a bit and I was able to parade her around a little more.
As I walked down the hall towards Pete's room, all the kids were saying to each other, "Oh! There's Mr. Muilenburg's baby!" (Like, who I am? Chopped liver? Mr. Muilenburg didn't carry the girl for 9 months and loose a third of his blood during delivery! Just kidding). Anyway, the kids were so excited to meet Lucy. I took her to Pete's class and they got to ask questions. One kids asked, "So, aside from eat, sleep, poop, and cry, what does she do?" I was like, "Um, not much, but I like her anyway." :) All in all it was a fun day, but I am exhausted - what's new?
Here's the cute outfit that she wore today, although it is already in the wash. When we got home I was changing her and in between diapers she pooped and peed simultaneously and that was the end of that. Foiled again.

Here's what she looked like when I put on the hat. She's not much of a hat girl.

Here's Pete showing her off to his students. He's such a cute dad!

It was interesting to see what Pete's classroom looked like, in addition to the cute pumpkin.

Since you never told the birth story on the blog...Oh. My. God. One-third of your blood?!!

The one month birthday is coming right up! :)

Take care,
Carolyn
