A New Record - 108 Pictures :) Halloween through Valentine's Day

Well - It will take around 108 pictures to catch up from the beginning of the school year until now.  It's been a very good, but very busy year.  Pete is busy learning his new job as Vice Principal.  He loves his job, but he definitely works long hours - we are very proud of him.  Lucy is doing well in Kindergarten - she is our little teenager in a 6-year-old body.  Sofie is loving her school too.  She is such a good helper and a great big sister.  Emma is as cute as ever.  She loves her two's class and keeps us smiling.  Working two days a week and taking care of the kids the rest of the time keeps me busy, but I love it.  Enjoy the pics :)

Sofie and Emma love to play all sorts of games that use their imagination.  One of their top games to play is "dog."  Often they pretend to be Katy's new puppy Coos.  It is pretty cute.

Emma trying on some Halloween vampire teeth.

Lucy turns 6 - her birthday was at Red Robin, then we had a tea party at our house on a different day.

Playing at the park.

Neighborhood Halloween party.

Playing dog at the Children's Museum.

Family pumpkin carving.

Emma was the Little Mermaid for Halloween, but didn't quite make it to Trick-or-Treating.  She was already in her Minnie Mouse jammies by the time the girls were ready to go.  It was a good Halloween.

The stash!

We get to the beach whenever we have a chance - the girls love it and so do we!

In November Lucy was running, tripped, and fell face first into our wood stairs.  These pictures were taken a week apart.  She needed to have three teeth removed.  She was a brave girl.

My mom put on another fabulous Thanksgiving.  The girls loved it and it was so good to see the fam.

For the third year in a row we started Thanksgiving morning with the neighborhood Turkey Trot.

Lucy made pilgrim hats for everyone.

Visit to Sofie's school for the Family Feast.

We saw Santa at the Oregon Gardens this year.  It was a fun trip, although the kids were a bit sick.

Lucy cracked us up with this creation.  This kid is hilarious.

Making a gingerbread house.

Lucy got to celebrate St. Lucia's day.  She wore her crown and brought us yummy pastries to eat.  Fun!

We continue to work on this - not quite there yet, but she's doing a great job!

Pete took Lucy and Sofie to the Nutcracker this year.  This pic was taken before they left.  Hopefully next year Ems will be big enough to go.

We took MAX to Zoolights this year.  Lucy and Sofie were fascinated by the rocks in the underground station.

More pics from St. Lucy's day. :)

Christmas with the Muilenburg's.

Trip to the park.

Blazers fan!

Emma gets her first hair cut!

Lucy and I took a trip to Seattle just the two of us. It was so very special to get to spend some alone time with her.

We had bunch at the Space Needle.

Lucy got a Shirley Temple.

Our view included a rainbow.
You get to write notes and put them on the windows.  People see them and can write you messages as the restaurant rotates.  Lucy loved this.

Lucy at Pike Place Market.  She brought her purse and chose to buy a toy mermaid with her own money.   It was pretty sweet.

More Emma at school - she loves it. :)

Trip to Washington Park.

Sofie's portrait of our family.

Another trip to the beach.

Chinese New Year at school.

Emma joined in the fun eating Chinese food with the class.

Spider rings for Charlotte's Web at the Oregon Children's Theatre.

Big sisters trap little sister - typical. :)

February snow day!

Pete and Lucy trekked to the store and Grammy Marge's house.

Snow day ice cream treats!

Sledding in the green space!

It felt like the whole neighborhood was out there.  It was awesome.

I think Emma loved the snow the best.  She couldn't get enough of it.

Snow day hot chocolate and snack in a fort downstairs.

Pete's Valentine's Day present from me - two posters filled with pictures from Bulgaria and Hong Kong.

Valentine's Day at school.

Morning love for Valentine's Day.

Saturday we took a spontaneous trip to Seaside and Canyon Beach.  It was such a fun day.

Waiting for the bumper cars.

The Seaside Aquarium was a fun surprise.  The girls loved feeding the seals and exploring the creatures.

Emma watched the octopus for 20 minutes or more.

Jellyfish in a jar.

I hope everyone is well!
