Summer Catch Up - Part II

We've been busy having lots of fun this summer! We are constantly on the look out for new adventures and outings. It has really been a great summer. Alas, it is, however, coming to an end. I go back to work on the 23rd and Pete will follow on the 30th. I keep lamenting this fact and Pete keeps reminding me that we have had a wonderful summer and how many people get two months off to play in the sun with their kids? He's right - I still don't want to go back to work though.

I haven't really lugged around the big camera much this summer, so our outings have only been documented on on the Flip and our "old" camera. Our old camera is only a little over five years old (we got it for our wedding), but as with all technology, it seems out of date now. It definitely does the trick though!

Auntie Katy made a last minute decision to come to the Wildlife Safari with us a few weeks back. We had a blast seeing the animals, but the highlight was definitely the petting zoo.

One of our new favorite activities is going to Bounce - a local gymnastics center that has open gym for toddlers. The girls LOVE it and Mama and Daddy love how much energy it burns off!

We headed up to Portland this weekend and stopped in at the Enchanted Forest on our way. It hasn't changed a bit since we were kids. Through adult eyes, the whole things seemed a bit creepy now. The girls had a great time though.
I tried to capture Lucy and Sofie going down the shoe slide, but this was the best picture I got.
Lucy got to go on her very first ride all by herself. It was so cute. She was so excited and had so much fun.

Then she and Auntie Syd went on a train ride. Too cute.

This is a little out of the order of events, but Pete and I went on our very first trip together without the kids. We had a great time in Oregon Wine Country. We took a wine tour one day and had a fabulous dinner at Farm to Fork - a restaurant that uses only local produce for their awesome cuisine.
I'll sign off with this cheesy picture - it really was great to spend a couple of days together. We were definitely ready to come home to the shmoos though - our life just isn't complete without them now.
