A Bit O' Irish

I can't believe it is March 10th and I haven't updated the blog for St. Patrick's Day until today! I love St. Paddy's ... it's a shame not to celebrate it all month!

The girls are doing better in general, although Sofie, once again has a double ear infection and is, once again, on antibiotics. All of this illness has led to some major decision making in our house ... I am going to cut back my hours at work and go down to .8 time AND we have found and hired a nanny! Our new nanny, Amy, is getting her Masters in Elementary Ed at U of O and we are super excited to work with her. She has class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, though, so I will leave work early and spend the afternoon with the kids. The plan is to continue working less through next year. Yippee!!
Sofie is as cute as ever. She is starting to pull herself up, but hasn't taken any steps yet. She turns one in two weeks - I can't believe it!

The girls got a "water station" outside and love playing with it. Sofie can even stand up on the side and splash around in the water.

Lucy continues to love to dress up ... her is one of her latest fashion creations: Cute pic. The other night when they were eating dinner, Lucy declared that she wanted to sit by Sofie. I thought it was so cute. She really does love her sister ... as long as she stays away from her toys! BRAG ALERT ... I'm about to brag about my daughter ... turn away if you don't want to hear it or opposed to parental gushing ...

This is Lucy's new puzzle - she loves it! It is 48 pieces and on the box it says it is for age 5+ ... she's not even 2 and a half yet. She's had it for a little over a week and can already do the whole thing by herself! How cool is that? She's a smart little cookie I tell ya! Then she tells us the names of all the planets. She stands on each planet and says, "I'm on Mars" ... "I'm on the moon" ... "We live on planet Earth!" The other night she finished it and moved right on to her sea puzzle. The girl is crazy for puzzles. Sofie gets herself in real trouble when she tries to chew on pieces of the puzzle while Lucy is working. If Lucy spots her she screams, "NO, SOF!" and charges her. It's not pretty. Therefore, Sofie gets lots of cuddles and books read to her by Mommy and Daddy when it's puzzle time.
We're down to a week and a half until Spring Break. I am so very excited for the break. This month has definitely worn us all out. In case I don't get around to another blog between now and then - Happy St. Patrick's Day! Drink a green beer and catch a leprechaun!

You have good reason to brag on Lucy for her puzzling skills. That's amazing!
