Sale Pending!

Things continue to be crazy around our little life, but a good kind of crazy for the most part. Our latest and biggest news is that we are in the process of becoming home owners! After looking at at least 30 houses and rethinking our "must haves" we put an offer in on this home:
It is pretty tiny in comparison to what we were originally looking for, but with the cost of childcare being what it is, it is much more in our price range. It's a super cute house in a really nice neighborhood, about two blocks away from a great elementary school. The deal is pending right now, we have the inspection on Monday, but we are excited nonetheless.

Having gone two years without an oven in Hong Kong, I am enjoying having one at my fingertips. I've made muffins and chocolate chip cookies so far. Here's Lucy learning from Mama:

Sofie is full of smiles and laughs, as usual. Here's Daddy making her giggle.

My sweet shmoos.
The students start on Tuesday. It will be nice to finally get back into a routine, although I am still having a hard time adjusting to leaving the kids at daycare all day. I'll probably never get used to it, but I am trying to power through.
Happy Labor Day! Here's to fall and a college football season in the States!

You must have decided you like Eugene! That's great. Hope all goes well with the house--looking forward to visiting you there one of these days.

Take care,
Carolyn

Yay! Congratulations! Having just gone through the home-buying process myself, I can relate to some of the anxiety you guys might be feeling. Can't wait to see more!

What a cute house! Congratulations. Good luck with all the junk that has to be done between now and the closing.
