Happy Valentine's Day

Wow ... I can't believe a whole week has gone by since my last post. It wasn't a very eventful week - Lucy got sick on Wednesday, but it was very short lived. We've decided it must have been something she ate the night before. She was sick all night, but at 5:30am on Thursday morning, she popped right out of bed and said, "Hi!" with a big smile on her face and was fine all day. Weird.
Valentine's Day was pretty low key this year, but nice nonetheless. Pete made Lucy and I cute Valentine's Day cards and even laminated them, as Lucy would probably prefer to eat the card over any chocolates these days. Pete is a super sweet daddy.
I haven't been taking many pictures lately, so today I got out the camera. Lucy got out one of her favorite toys that she got from Auntie Leah and Auntie Lorissa this summer. For Mommy and Daddy, it is much more fun to play with now that she can chase after the balls and restart the toy all by herself. I just sat on the couch and watched, which was a nice little break.
She awas having so much fun that she had to stop for a second, turn the toy over, and give it a kiss ... kissing things is among her favorite things to do these days. She kissed her shampoo bottle in the bath the other night - it must be the special "no more tears" formula :)
A rare moment when her patsy was out of her mouth.
Pete got me flowers yesterday with a big bow around them that turned out to be a bonus toy for Lucy. She loves wearing it.

She then proceeded to grab her blow-up rugby ball and her frog flash card. All of these things put together equaled fun, fun, fun! What a goof ball ... I wonder where she gets it?
On a non-Lucy note ... I went to an artisan village yesterday near Shen Zhen and bought this painting. After a year and a half with pretty much nothing on our walls, we now have this hanging up for the last four months of our stay.

Gorgeous painting, gorgeous little girl! I was going to say baby, but she looks like she's about 4 years old. Her hair is getting so long! Come home already, would you!?!?!

Loves.
