Getting Started

I'm too sleepy right now to write much, but I'll give a short update: This morning we were picked up and taken to the school for the first time. The school is very cool! 14 floors, I think, beautiful architecture, lots of computers and other technology. Very cool. The counseling center reminds me of my old school back in Seattle and so far I like my co-counselors. The school helped us set up cell phones today, so Pete has finally moved up to this century and has a cell phone for the first time in his life. Yeah! We were also able to set up our bank account at HSBC today, which is nice. We went to the main office building downtown, which was huge and looked like a building out some futuristic, sci-fi movie. It was crazy. Tomorrow we will sign the final papers on our lease and, if all goes well, we should be able to move into our apartment tomorrow evening - at least I hope we will be able to.
My favorite part of today was that we met a couple who just had a baby in Hong Kong 4 weeks ago. They went through the public health care system, like we will do, and they were very happy with everything. Apparently Queen Mary hospital is the best there is and the place to have babies, so I feel pretty good about that.
O.K., my eyes are closing - it was a very busy day. We miss you all!
