The 26th

We are back in the same bar with internet access getting a cappiccino before we head to Corniglia for the day. This is our last day in Cinque Terre. Tomorrow we head to Assisi and then Sienna for New Year. Christmas Eve was amazing - we were one of about 6 tourist here, so we got to see how a small town celebrates Christmas. They did this cool thing where they bring the baby Jesus across the water and then give Him to two little kids dresses like Mary and Joseph. In the square they were blaring music like Ave Maria and Cannon in D. It was pretty spectacular. They we joined the town for midnight mass. Very cool. Yesterday we did not leave our hotel room until 5:00PM. The day before we bought bread, cheese, meat, and other goodies, so we just played cards all day, ate, read, and took naps. It was very relaxing. We talked to our families last night before we headed out to dinner. That made me sad, but it was good to hear their voices. I shed a tear later that evening because I wanted to see everyone, but luckily Pete was there to give me a hug. We ate dinner at the only restaurant in town that was open. Awesome pasta and steak - nothing like Bulgarian food.
I am off to drink my coffee. We love you guys. Merry Christmas, again.
