We're back from Bansko and we has an absolutely wonderful time. It was so nice to be just Pete and I for the weekend. We were able to rest, eat good food, and just relax. Most of our time was spent walking around town, looking at the stores, and hanging out. Last night we spent about four hours just playing Cribbage in a British pub. I even ventured to try a hamburger, but I should just give up ... let's face it ... there will be no good burgers for me until I set foot in the states again.
We still have one day off tomorrow, so we'll be able to sleep in and then run some errands. Of course, I am sure there will be some Soprano's watching as well. We're completely addicted at this point.
For now we are off to have a Halloween dinner with Anne, Patrick, Steven, and Laura. There won't be any trick-or-treaters, but I'm sure it will be fun.
Enjoy the pictures ... The one where I'm standing by the window pointing at the mannequin is me pointing out "Bulgarian Red." For some reason many Bulgarians are dying to have red hair. The outcome of all of this "dyeing" are some of the funniest shades of red you have ever seen. Everything from practically purple to (and I'm not joking) Ronald McDonald red hair. It totally cracks us up! This picture is a mannequin displaying "Bulgarian Red."
Oh, the other picture we thought you had to see, was the concept of the "Euro-shower." They are all over the place here. Basically, it is a toilet, sink, and shower all it one. What I mean by this is, there is no separate shower. Why would you need one when you can clean your bathroom and yourself all at the same time?
Finally, the last picture I wanted to point out is Pete walking next to the Baba's. Babas are old Bulgarian women who wear traditional clothes and head scarves. I just love seeing them.

Huh. I thought you were pointing at the name of the store, which looks a lot like "e-coli" (not sure how to spell that particular disease) to me!

I got what you were pointing at, do I win a prize? And I love the Baba's!!! I thought you were pointing out the contrast between their round booties and Pete's skinny one ;)
