WOW! A post two days in a row!

Sofie is asleep at 7:00pm and Pete and Lucy are doing a puzzle right now ... I barely know what to do with myself when I have a little time on my hands ... let's see if I make it through the post without being interrupted. :)
On Sofie's actually birthday, we were in Seattle. It was SO, SO, SO great to stay with Lorissa and see all our friends in Sea-Town. It definitely filled up all my Zelda hearts. On the 24th, we went to the Seattle Aquarium, which thrilled Lucy to no end and I think Sofie enjoyed it too.
Starfish ... always a hit!
This was Lucy's face for pretty much the first 30 minutes we were there. She loved, loved, LOVED, all the sea creatures!
Sofie cheered her on from afar ... soon enough, Sof, you'll be chasing after her.
Right as we got there, they fed the octopus. It was so cool! It puffed all up and floated around. We really got a good look. Do you know that octopi have four hearts and blue blood? It's true.
More fish.
Even more fish.

Cute Sof (I always say that.)

Pete and Lucy riding a whale.
Lucy giving the diver a high five. The diver gave a presentation from a huge aquarium ... that was pretty cool too.
The next day we visited Pike Place Market and strolled around Seattle. I didn't want to bring the bulky camera that day, but I immediately regretted that decision once we were down there. It was truly so much fun. There were definitely a few times that I felt a few "pangs" for my old life in Seattle, but it was so much fun being a tourist there. When you live there, you barely do any of that stuff ... and you cherish time with your friends even more. Spring Break was awesome - it was absolutely fantastic to spend time with friends and family.
Wow! I did it! I made it through my second post in two days! I still have Easter to document - tomorrow? We'll see. :)

Sweet Sofie

There is a lot of ground to cover since my last post - Spring Break, Easter, life in general - but before I get to any of that, I am going to dedicate an entire post to sweet Sofie. When I think about how I posted everyday, included videos, and recorded every milestone with Lucy, I feel pretty terrible about the about of blog attention Sofie has received. It goes without saying that life is much busier now, but I still feel badly.
Sofie turned one on March 24 over Spring Break and we had a lot of fun celebrating this wonderful milestone. Sofie is such a wonderful, special addition to our family. Her smiles warm your heart, regardless of your mood and she is such a cuddle bug. I swear she has been smiling since the moment she arrived at Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong! What an absolute joy she is. Here are some pictures from her birthday party:
Sofie and Grammy getting ready for the big party.
Sof wore the same dress that Lucy wore for her first birthday party.
Too cute.
Pesho prepping the drinks - we BBQ'd fajitas.
Sof sat on Auntie Sydney's lap while she opened presents.
Sofie gave Lucy a doctor's kit, but spent some time playing with it herself.
...and chewing on it.
Here's her birthday cake with her name spelled wrong. I guess that's going to be a life-long battle we gave her.
She dove right in and actually didn't get too messy.
Happy birthday Sweet Sof - we love you to the moon and back (times infinity).
